Meet us.

We’re super normal.

Bio

Ali and Leighton met when Ali was 14 and Leighton was 18. Ali fell in love immediately - as 14 year olds do. Leighton "shelved" her until she was older. Oh no! Providentially, they married when they were 21 and 25. Both piano players from a young age, Ali and Leighton have used their skills to serve thousands musically, both in Australia and Internationally. The duo may not always live in harmony, but they enjoy singing in harmony as well as messing around on guitars, ukuleles, harmonicas, banjos, and Leighton is the whitest black man you've ever heard when it comes to bass guitar.

Ali and Leighton made their first tentative Studio Album in 2009 with 2 small children in tow "Year of the Home". It seems Home won for a long time, as it wasn't until 2019 that Ali and Leighton re-entered the studio to capture their latest musical and lyrical thoughts (with four children in tow this time!).

Entitled "The Rhythm of Us" and recorded by Rhys Zacher at Spinlight Studios, their second album contains universal concepts about love and family and has been described as "very relatable" and "have you been peeking in my windows and singing about my life?"

Origins

Ali and Leighton met around the music table. It was Brisbane at a youth worship congress; then playing for church at Kingscliff; it all came together in a taxi on a tour to Thailand; then a short visit to Parachute Music Festival in Hamilton New Zealand. From there it has been music which has kept us focussed, inspired our relationship and clarified the path ahead.
